October 7 - November 1, 2019

Be Active Every Day is an annual public health initiative fully funded by Doctors of BC to help kids be more active and make healthy choices. In partnership with their local elementary school, doctors across BC coordinate a month-long challenge to kids.

How it Works

This year kids Choose their Own Challenge. In a fun way kids learn that getting active can be a choice they make and gives them a stake in the activity challenge.
Starting the week of October 7, doctors visit their school of choice to present the Be Active Every Day challenge to the kids.
The Challenge: Get at least 60 minutes of activity every day for the month of October.
Doctors provide activity booklets and promotional items to kids, talk about Live 5-2-1-0, and explain why it’s important to stay active.
During the month, kids set activity goals and write about them in their activity booklet.
At the end of the month doctors return to congratulate kids on a job well done and hand out certificates for completing the challenge.
Kids can win great prizes and be featured on this website by sending in a picture of themselves being active along with their ‘activity stats’ – for more information see the contest page.
The grand prize is a custom trading card featuring the winner!
